How do Zebra Label printers work?

Zebra label printers carry printers of two technologies.

How do Barcode scanners work?

Most barcode scanners emit a red light on the barcode. The red light sends an analog signal once the barcode is identified. Analog signal is then changed to a digital signal which is fed to the decoder of the barcode scanners. As the final step, the decoder transmits the collected information from the barcode to the connected host device such as a computer, laptop or a paired mobile phone.

Do direct thermal labels fade?

Direct thermal labels fade over time. Therefore direct thermal labels are used for short term use such as for shipping labels, tickets, visitor passes.

How do I print labels?

Once the printer is installed to the host device, open the label template from word, PDF or designated label software you have installed.

Click on ‘File’ and select ‘print’. Under the printer options, select the label printers and click the ‘Print’ button to print the label.

How to clean label printers?

Clean the label printer with rubbing alcohol wipes. You can also use a cotton swab or a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol on it to remove any built up gunk, ink or dust particles.
